WELCOME TO M.O.D. - PALMA OF MAJORCA
LOCATION M.O.D.: Auditorium de Palma de Mallorca, Av. de Gabriel Roca, 18 - (front of Palma harbor)
The Master of Dance or M.O.D. is a choreographic international urban dance competition in Europe.
This great event takes place in Palma in July, on the fantastic island of Majorca in the Balearic Islands in Spain, and it's a big meeting point, every year, for hundreds of dancers from all over the
world, who come to defend the color of his country in front of a large audience and on one of the best scene in Europe.
With the international airport (25 min of the event) all Low Cost airlines offer economic flights in summer. (Vueling, Ryanair, Volotea ...) and thus enable teams to reduce their travel costs.
But also: the organization of the MOD helps participants find discounted housing near the MOD and is also responsable for large teams transfers.

RULES & REGULATIONS M.O.D.
Urban permit dance styles are: Locking, Popping, Whacking, Punking, Vogueing, House dance, Ragga - dancehall, Funky, B.boying/B.girling, Krumping, Gangsta, Comercial
Dance,street jazz, Hip hop.
The M.O.D. is divided into two levels of competitions: till maximum of crews participation
ROOKIE LEVEL: SATURDAY 05 JULY 2025
International Dance crews, who start in urban choreographic dance competition. Groups of 8 to 30 dancers. (Teams of less than 3 years of experience in competition)
5 different categories:
• BABY CREW : till 9 years
old (included)
• ROOKIE CHILD: till 12 years old (included)
• ROOKIE JUNIOR: till 15 years old (included)
• ROOKIE YOUTH: till 18 years old (included)
• ROOKIE ADULT: + 18 years old
IMPORTANT: Rookie group can't exceed of more than 50% of dancers of the Master category.
* baby crew: In case this category cannot be carried out due to not exceeding the number of 3 registered groups, the team will
participate in the Children's Rookie category with 5 extra points.
MASTER LEVEL: SUNDAY 06 JULY 2025
International Dance crews, high level in urban choreographic dance competition (podiums in national or international
events the las 3 years) - Crew from 8 to 25 dancers - Megacrew category min 20 dancers.
7 different categories:
• MASTER CHILD : till 12 years
old (included)
• MASTER JUNIOR : till 15 years old (included)
• MASTER YOUTH : till 18 years old (included)
• MASTER ADULT : + 18 years old
• MEGACREW : All ages
• PREMIUM: + 30 years
• ALL STYLES: (all ages): Dancers of contemporary, modern dance, modern jazz, heels, twerk, fusion of styles, sexy style
FURTHER INFORMATION:
SIZE OF THE SCENE: 14 x 12m (PARQUET) with a white
line to delimited space for ilumination.
The categories Megacrew & All styles can use the side curtains (3) of the stage to enter and exit during the show.
IMPORTANT:
THE CHOREOGRAPHERS CAN PRESENT SEVERAL GROUPS IN THE SAME CATEGORY AND FROM THE SAME SCHOOL.
In each group, only 2 dancers are permited to be over the statutory age. 3 dancers for crews sup to 15 .
The younger age dancers can participate in all the higher classes. (Ex. An 11 years dancer can dance in an
adult group category)
For Minors and adults, the authorization image rights must obligatory be signed the day of the competition before dancing. See the conditions mentioned below
COMPETITION M.O.D.
The public will only be able to access in the auditorium at the beginning of the event or during break or awards ceremonies.

Each professional choreographer 40 points.
. Musicality: 10 puntos
. Creativity: 10 puntos

TO KNOW:
THE PROFESSIONAL CHOREOGRAPHERS HAVE THE NOTES FOR THE DURATION OF THE CATEGORY IN ORDER TO MODIFY THEM IF NECESSARY.
If final tie, the note of TECHNIQUE is the one that decides the position.
PENALTIES:
Categories Child and Junior groups using songs or movements too obscene or inappropriate for the age of the dancers will be penalized -5 points on the final grade.
(-5 Points) Send the wrong song of the performance to the organisation (New)
(-3 Points) Send the music later than 20 june (New)
(-3 Points) duration of the choreography outsized.
(-5 Points) Use of hazardous material scene. (If in doubt consult the organization).
(-5 Points) if the choreography is similar to a known choreography.
(-5 Points) to use water, confetti ...
Total elimination of the team if the ages were not respected in the category Child, Junior and Youth

CREW MUSIC:
MUSIC COMPETITION:
The Responsable of each team must send an email to music@modmallorca.com with the MP3 or WAVE mix,
the name of the team, name of the choreographer and the category involved (ROOKIE or MASTER).
LAST SUBMISSION DATE LIMIT: 20 june 2025
For security: The choreographer must bring the day of the event an USB with the mix.
